How to Make a Hard Day, Better
The opposite of those dreary days filled with dark clouds, where you stay in bed all morning & have a monstrous lack of motivation to do anything. You know what I’m referring to, right?
On these, as what my clients describe as, “meh days”, lies an opportunity to choose how we can respond to our bodies & minds, needing extra support.
▪️Speak kind & gentle words to yourself: “Even though I feel heavy today, I’m going to move through this day in the easiest way possible and try my best”
▫️Write 3 small goals to complete, such as
1. I’m going to fix myself a healthy meal or stop somewhere to pick one up
2. I’m going to stretch my body lovingly (while laying in bed or standing up)
3. I’m going to walk outside today and breathe in fresh air
▪️Call a friend to say hello to, watch a funny tv show, listen to fun music, draw, take a warm shower, use a new perfume, get creative!
In addition to having a hard day, if you’re having negative thoughts running through your mind all day long, try my free YouTube video on “How to STOP your negative thoughts!” for some tips and tools on reframing your words and discharging unwanted thinking patterns.
You can also want to check out “Evolution of Yourself: Reframing Self-Doubt”, which helps you reframe your mind if you’re having any doubts, on Insight Timer.
While you may not be able to shake off a day like this, you can certainly support yourself through it. No need to criticize or bully yourself because you feel worried or sad. I know the mind thinks differently, but there are ways inside the mind and ego that can help us gradually shift into a positive and lighter headspace. It just takes a little effort, flavored with love and kindness. You can do this!
