Energetic Clarity Through Communication of Chakra Channels
Learning how to communicate can bear its own challenges depending on who we are speaking to. Life doesn't teach us how to properly connect with others in the discussion to ask for what we need, or how to create statements that are well received by others. Our typical learning environment for where we gain knowledge on how to communicate consists of relational interactions with parents, siblings, friends, and teachers without clearly defined conversational structure, parameters, or ideas on what healthy rapport consists of.
Unless we are brought up in a society that involves work with the universe, the earth, and spirituality, chances are, we are not taught how to use our innately gifted chakra system to aid us in connection with people. This energetic wheelhouse provides us the ability to speak clearly, genuinely, and authentically.
This exercise will provide you with an understanding of how to begin the conversational process of energetic clarity through the communication of chakra channels.
I will share an example of what it may look like and follow along as you read.
Example:
Lilly is 28 years old and recently got into an argument with her sister for smoking cigarettes. Lilly wants desperately for her sister to quit smoking because of a recent health scare she endured. Lilly gets frustrated and angry at her sister for making the decision to still smoke, despite the worry about her health. Every time Lilly asks/tells her sister to stop smoking, her sister reacts with anger and becomes defensive. Lilly then feels defeated and sad each time she brings up the question, even though it is out of love. Lilly wants to find a way to speak to her sister without creating tension and defensiveness between them.
ROOT CHAKRA COMMUNICATION CHANNEL:
To begin, we want to identify what chakra channel to use for clear communication. In this case, there are several channels to utilize for clear communication, but we will start with the root as our main energetic system.
The root chakra houses our safety needs for ourselves and others, trust, security, survival instincts in the world. Because safety and protection is the main energetic core center, we will use the root to begin our practice.
GROUND: Take a deep breath in through the nose, and on the exhale, imagine the breath travel through the face and eyes, neck, brainstem, down through the spine and all organ centers, the chest, the heart, the upper and lower belly, the hips, moving through the legs, traveling out the feet and into the center of the earth.
Once you have grounded your body, notice your root chakra. Begin to observe it light up in a deep passionate red color, becoming alive with guidance. Take another deep breath and as you breathe in, drop your shoulders, and allow your words to exit from the root, travel up through the belly, through your esophagus, and out your mouth (automatically moving through the heart and throat chakra as well).
Lilly example: Lilly may offer a thought of support and love such as this (to her sister): “I know quitting smoking can be really hard sometimes. I wanted to share a healthy reminder that if you want to stop smoking, I think it can really help heal and nourish your body. I will send you friendly reminders from time to time about the positive benefits of moving this habit to a more nutritionally supportive habit. If I can support you in any way through the process of quitting smoking I’m here. If you’d like to share with me that you choose to quit, I know you’ll be proud of yourself and so will I. In the meantime, try to make the most supportive choices for you as you can, and know that I am here for you if you need me in any way.”
Notice that all of this came from the root chakra. It was not overworking. The root chakra in this instance pulled back and aligned with that of trust and hope. It was not functioning out of fear to consistently ask her sister if she had stopped smoking yet. It was grounded in the belief of trust and support. The heart chakra was present in this conversation as well, and the language was tender and helpful. The throat was guided to Lilly speaking her truth, but without defensiveness or over concern of what her sister’s decisions have been or will be.
There are many more examples through chakra communication channels, but this is where we begin. Practice a similar way of expressing yourself through this energetic pattern and notice how much more aligned and stable your body feels when sharing your thoughts with others.
